Whistler Welding contributed to the Upper Lillooet Hydro Project, which involved the design-build of two run-of-river, clean energy generating facilities: Upper Lillooet, featuring four Francis turbines, and Boulder Creek, featuring three Pelton turbines. The project was nationally recognized, receiving the Tunnelling Association of Canada's 2017 Innovation Project of the Year award.

The scope of work included fabrication and installation of steel infrastructure necessary for tunneling and construction activities.
